German Development Cooperation in Serbia has announced Climate Week, a series of events from September 16 to 23 aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection and climate action. The event will begin with Street Fest on September 16 at Veliki park in Kragujevac, where the institutions of German Cooperation in Serbia, including GIZ, KfW Development Bank, and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, will present their results in Kragujevac. An outdoor photo exhibition will showcase over 20 years of German support for Serbia in environmental and climate protection at the Belgrade Fortress – Kalemegdan on September 18. The German Embassy will organise Climate Talks on the same day, featuring two-panel discussions on Air Pollution and Health of the Population and The Energy Sector and Climate Change.
The Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development (CPOR) is organising the Women of Serbia in Sustainable Energy – Leadership for Energy Transition conference on September 20 at Dorćol Platz. The conference will feature panel discussions, presentations of the survey done during the project, and an award ceremony for Women Leader in Sustainable Energy 2023.
On September 23, the German Development Cooperation and its implementation partners will celebrate Prosumers Day in Belgrade’s Kalemegdan park, under the slogan Friends of Good Energy. The event will feature stands where visitors can learn more about renewable energy sources, including the GIZ info corner, Startup corner, Energy Net stand, Ask the Prosumer! corner, robotics workshop, and drawing workshop.
