After Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry announced that all Bulgarians in the Gaza Strip had been repatriated, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov expressed solidarity with Israel during a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. Denkov emphasised the importance of releasing all hostages and eradicating Hamas and its military and administrative infrastructure. He also expressed concern about the situation in the Gaza Strip and the need for humanitarian aid without abuse. Netanyahu thanked Denkov for Bulgaria’s solidarity and emphasised that if civilisation does not win, barbarism will.
Netanyahu stated that Israel will not agree to a ceasefire with Hamas unless the terrorist group releases the over 240 hostages it kidnapped during its October 7 attacks. He emphasised that the entire nation is united and reliant on the air force personnel at the Ramon Air Force Base, and they will continue together until victory.
“We know these are very difficult times and that is why we have to be here. We were all shocked by the terrorist attacks that killed so many innocent people. It is very important that all hostages are released as soon as possible,” said Denkov.
