Lithuania’s Giraits Ginkluotės Gamykla (GGG), the only producer of ammunition in the Baltic States, has successfully completed the first stage of capacity building by launching its encapsulation and cartridge loading facility. This is expected to increase production up to 35% and remove the bottleneck in cartridge assembly operations.
Lithuanian Minister of Finance, Gintarė Skaistė, attended the official launch of the facility and the event marking the increase in production efficiency. The first phase of GGG’s expansion amounted to an investment of €2,191,000 and was financed with the company’s own funds. The Kaunas-based manufacturer exports 75% of its production to more than 30 countries.
“We are very pleased with its successful implementation and the increase in production capacity. We are constantly observing market trends and hoping to make our production even more effective in the future”, said GGG CEO, Aleksandras Nikonovas.
